Red Frost has the following properties and channels: Bitter, cold.

① "Jiangxi Herbal Medicine": Bitter, cold. ② "Fujian Herbal Medicine": Bitter, cold.

Functions and indications: Clears heat, detoxifies, cools blood, and stops bleeding. Used for burns, scalds, bleeding wounds, ulcers, and lung abscesses.

Dosage: 0.5-1 liang (25-50 grams); apply an appropriate amount externally, crush the fresh leaves and apply to the affected area.

Growth Characteristics of Red Frost

It grows on slopes and shrubbery at an altitude of 500-1600 meters.

It is found in Zhejiang (Qingyuan, Jinyun), Jiangxi, Fujian (Nanping), Hunan (Changsha), and Sichuan (Hongya, Mingshan, Leshan, Emei, Shizhu); it grows on slopes and shrubbery at an altitude of 500-1600 meters.

Identification of Red Frost

The leaf blade is elliptic or ovate, some are broken, measuring 2.5-6cm in length; the apex is pointed, the base is rounded, the margin has fine serrations, and the tip of the teeth is needle-like;

It is yellow-green in color, with yellow-brown fine hairs on the veins and the back of the leaf; it has a slight odor and a bitter taste.
