Blood Full Herb Plant Morphology
A perennial upright herb, 1-2 meters tall. The roots are long, cylindrical, horizontally growing, with many adventitious roots.
The stems are round, with longitudinal grooves, obvious nodes, and covered with coarse hairs. When broken, they have a red juice.
The leaves are opposite; odd-pinnate compound leaves with raised paired glands.
There are 3-11 leaflets, 8-16 cm long, 4-7 cm wide, with one larger ovate leaflet at the apex, and both sides of the leaflets are lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate; gradually tapering to a point or long tapering at the tip, with fine serrations on the edges, blunt or broadly wedge-shaped at the base, with asymmetrical base on both sides of the leaflets, sparsely covered with coarse hairs on both sides, lighter in color on the lower side, with pinnate veins on the sides; the base of the top leaflet is often connected to the lower 2 pairs of leaflets; the base of the leaf stalk often has leaf-like stipules.
The inflorescence is a conical umbel; the flowers are small, dense, and white, with yellow cup-shaped glands interspersed among them. The fruit is a berry-like drupe, black in color.
It grows in open forests and damp areas. Distributed in Yunnan, Tibet, and other places.

Medical Value of Blood Full Herb
① Treatment of acute and chronic nephritis: Take 5 qian of Blood Full Herb, 1 liang of Wine Bottle Flower roots, and 4 qian each of Mountain Skin Bark and Stone Pepper Herb. Decoct in water and take orally.
② Treatment of rheumatic pain and wind rash: Take an appropriate amount of Blood Full Herb. Decoct in water and use externally to wash the affected area.
③ Treatment of infantile paralysis and contusions: First, use plum blossom needle to puncture the affected area, then crush and grind an appropriate amount of fresh Blood Full Herb stems and leaves, stir-fry with wine, and wrap externally.
④ Treatment of fractures: Take an appropriate amount of fresh whole Blood Full Herb, pound it into a paste, and apply it with alcohol or boiled water.
