During spring, the temperature is higher than in winter, and the breeding of pathogenic microorganisms accelerates. At this time, the body's yang energy is just starting to rise, but the defense ability is not yet strong. In addition, there are various allergens in nature, such as flowers, plants, and dust, which are significantly more abundant than in winter. After the respiratory tract is invaded, coughing and phlegm occur. We call this "spring cough" because it happens during spring.

Put the ingredients in a pot, add 3-4 bowls of water, and simmer on low heat for about 25-30 minutes. Remove the residue, add honey, and bring to a boil. Serve warm to the child. Ginger dispels wind and cold, radish transforms phlegm and stops coughing, jujube harmonizes the stomach.

Ginger and almond soup: 6 grams of ginger, 10 grams of almonds, 4 grams of salt, 5 grams of licorice. Soak the almonds, remove the outer skin and tip, peel the ginger, and grind it with salt. 【How to Prevent Spring Cough for High-Risk Groups】

If you have had lung diseases in the past, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and other similar conditions, as well as the elderly and children with weaker resistance, they are high-risk groups for coughing. Therefore, these groups should adapt to the seasonal characteristics and take preventive measures in terms of diet and daily life, such as wearing more clothes. Do not wear thin clothes just because you feel hot, and do not turn on the air conditioner just because you feel hot. These actions are easy to cause a cough due to catching a cold.

If you have allergies, you should also wear a mask when going out and stay away from allergens. In addition, for patients who have recurrent coughs every year, it is recommended to go to the hospital about a month before the recurrence and ask a traditional Chinese medicine doctor to prescribe Chinese medicine to regulate the body and enhance resistance to prevent diseases.
