Crane grass has a bitter taste and a cool nature. It is mainly used as a hemostatic medicine and also has the effect of treating heat dysentery.
(1) For hemoptysis, it is often used with Baiji, Shengoujie, Huangqin, Chaozhizi, and Ajiaozhu beads.
(2) For hematemesis, it can be combined with Chao Huangqin, Zhimu, Baiji, Wuzegu, Jiaosanxian, Jiaobinglang, and Qiancao charcoal.
(3) For uterine bleeding, it can be used with Yimucao, Sangjisheng, Danggui charcoal, Shengdi charcoal, Baishao, Ajiao, and Ai charcoal.
(4) For bloody dysentery, it can be combined with Diyu, Huaihua charcoal, Baishao, Muxiang, Huanglian, Huangbo, Baitouweng, and Machixian.
(5) Yimucao can be used for uterine bleeding, but it also has the ability to invigorate blood and dispel stasis.
