【Identification】
The entire plant grows 50-100 (-200) cm tall. The roots are thick and gray-white. The stem is cylindrical, slightly flattened, and the base becomes woody. The surface is light brown to brownish-brown with fine longitudinal grooves.
The leaves are opposite, wrinkled and fragile. When intact, they are elliptical or ovate-elliptical, measuring 2-8 cm long and 3-4 cm wide. The apex is short-pointed or slightly blunt, and the base is wedge-shaped. The edges are toothed, and the color is dark green or dark brown.
The leaf stalk is about 2 cm long. At the top of the stem, there are spike-like inflorescences, 4-20 cm long, resembling a whip. After the small flowers fall off, they leave pit-like depressions.
The odor is mild, and the taste is sweet and bitter. Leaves with more intact whip-like inflorescences are preferred.

It has good effects on heat-related urinary problems, such as hot lin syndrome, stone lin syndrome, leukorrhea, cloudy urine, rheumatic bone pain, acute conjunctivitis, pharyngitis, gingivitis, cholecystitis, boils, hemorrhoids, and bruises.
Jade Dragon Whip can also be used externally to treat bruises and swelling. It has certain effects in regulating dampness and can be used to treat urinary tract problems and throat problems.
This herb has similar effects to Herba Lysimachiae, except that Herba Lysimachiae is more effective in treating malaria. For other uses, they are similar. It is recommended to use Jade Dragon Whip alone for single-use effectiveness, or use it in compound formulas.
【Prescription and Usage】
To treat fever, redness, and swelling caused by eye medications: Take one liang of Jade Dragon Whip leaves, one liang of false mustard greens, five qian of five-veined vine, and a little piece of ice. Grind them together and apply to the affected area.
To treat bruises and swelling: Take an appropriate amount of Jade Dragon Whip, white flower grass, and stone peach according to your own condition. Grind them together and apply to the affected area.
To treat large abscesses and swelling: Take three liang of Jade Dragon Whip, two liang of Chinese knotweed, and two liang of fog water kudzu. Grind them together and apply to the affected area. If it has already ruptured and is suppurating, add a little brown sugar and apply to the affected area.
