Yin and Yang Deficiency Type Clinical Manifestations of Pulmonary Tuberculosis:

[Goji Berry, Red Date, and Egg Soup]

Ingredients: 25-50g goji berries, 6-8 red dates, 2 eggs.

Method: Boil the eggs, peel them, and cook them with goji berries and red dates for 20 minutes.

Benefits: Nourishes Qi and blood, nourishes Yin essence.

Usage: Eat the eggs and drink the soup while hot, take 1 dose daily or every other day, divide it into morning and evening doses, and continue for 1 month.

 

[Lung Slice Hot Pot]

Ingredients: 1 pig lung, 500g beef shin bone, 500g pig shin bone, 500g lamb shin bone, 20g Sichuan bean paste, 20g fermented black beans, 20g sweet rice wine.

Method: Rinse the pig lung with water, cut it into thin slices, and soak it in clean water, changing the water frequently until the lung slices turn milky white. Rinse the beef, lamb, and pig shin bones with water, smash them, blanch them in boiling water, then rinse them and put them in a pot. Add water to the pot, bring it to a boil over high heat, skim off the foam, then switch to low heat and slowly extract the umami flavor. Remove the bones and discard them, leaving the hot pot broth. Heat another wok, add cooking oil and heat it, add Sichuan bean paste and fermented black beans, stir-fry until well mixed and cherry red, then add ginger and garlic. After the flavors develop, add the bone broth, bring to a boil over high heat, add sweet rice wine, salt, rock sugar, monosodium glutamate, and Sichuan peppercorns (the amount can vary depending on personal taste).

Benefits: Tonifies the lungs and kidneys, stimulates appetite and invigorates the spleen.

Usage: Blanch the lung slices in the hot pot and eat them as an accompaniment to the meal.

 

[King of Beijing Duck]

Ingredients: 1 turtle, 1 soft-shelled turtle, 1 hen, 20g shiitake mushrooms.

Method: Make the turtle urinate (method: place the turtle supine on a high cup, head facing the mirror, and it will soon urinate; or use pig bristles to tickle its nostrils to make it urinate), remove the shell and bones. Rinse the soft-shelled turtle and hen, put them in a pot. Add cooking wine, ginger, scallions, shiitake mushrooms, and enough water. Bring to a boil over high heat to remove the foam, then switch to low heat and simmer for 2 hours. Add salt and monosodium glutamate to taste.

Benefits: Nourishes lung Yin, warms kidney Yang.

Usage: Eat as an accompaniment to the meal.

 

[Chicken with Ginkgo Nuts]

Ingredients: 500-1000g tender chicken, 15g ginkgo nuts, 2 eggs, 50g chicken broth.

Method: Cut the chicken into 1-2cm square dices, put them in a casserole, mix with egg whites, salt, and starch to make a batter. Blanch the peeled ginkgo nuts. Heat a wok, add 500g lard, heat until the oil is 60% hot, then add the chicken dices and stir-fry until they are evenly cooked. Add the ginkgo nuts and stir-fry until the chicken is cooked, then remove and drain the oil. Leave 25g lard in the original wok, add scallions, and heat until fragrant. Add yellow wine and chicken broth, add salt, monosodium glutamate, and taste. Add the chicken dices and ginkgo nuts, stir-fry for a few more times, thicken with water starch, mix well, and drizzle with sesame oil. Stir-fry a few more times, remove from the heat, and serve.

Benefits: Tonifies Qi, nourishes the lungs, stops coughing, and transforms phlegm.

Usage: Eat as an accompaniment to the meal. Once every 5-7 days.
