Medicinal value of blood-filled herb
①Treatment of acute and chronic nephritis
Take 50 grams of blood-filled herb, 30 grams of wine bottle flower root, 20 grams of mountain bark, and 12 grams of stone pepper grass. Decoct in water and take orally. ("Selected Compilation of Comprehensive Exhibitions, Internal Medicine")
②Treatment of rheumatic pain and rubella
Take an appropriate amount of blood-filled herb. Decoct in water and use externally to wash the affected area.
③Treatment of infantile paralysis and bruises
First, use plum blossom needle to puncture the affected area, then grind a suitable amount of fresh blood-filled herb stems and leaves into fine powder, and wrap it with wine. ("Folk Use of Herbs in Kunming")
④Treatment of fractures
Take an appropriate amount of fresh blood-filled herb, mash it, and apply it with alcohol or boiled water.

How to use blood-filled herb
Dispels wind, promotes diuresis, disperses stasis, and opens collaterals. Used for the treatment of acute and chronic nephritis, rheumatic pain, rubella itching, sequelae of infantile paralysis, sprains, and fractures.

Used for the treatment of rheumatic joint inflammation, chronic lumbar and leg pain, sprains, hematoma, and edema."
③"Commonly Used Herbs by the People of Kunming": "Dispels wind and dampness, nourishes blood, activates blood circulation, and promotes diuresis."
[Usage and dosage] Oral administration: decoction, 9-15 grams; or stew with meat. External use: grind and apply.
Side effects of blood-filled herb
The decoction of blood-filled herb has antifungal effects on red trichophyton, gypsum-like trichophyton, flocculent epidermal trichophyton, wool-like small spore fungus, and gypsum-like small spore fungus in test tubes;
however, it has no inhibitory effect on Candida albicans. It should not be consumed by women during menstruation and pregnant women.
