【Does Polyuria Lead to Diabetes?】

1. Urinary tract infection

In general, if your urinary tract is infected, it is very easy to have the urge to urinate. Therefore, this is also the reason for frequent visits to the toilet at night. In addition, during urination, inflammation can cause irritation, leading to urinary tract infections, resulting in frequent urination, urgency, and incomplete urination.

2. Prostate problems

If you frequently visit the toilet, it is likely that there is a problem with your prostate. Studies have shown that men over the age of 50 are prone to prostate hyperplasia, and the most obvious symptom is frequent urination at night. In the late stage of prostate hyperplasia, incomplete urination is usually present, exacerbating the condition of nocturia.

3. Kidney problems

Medically, if the kidneys are not functioning properly, the tubules in the kidneys are likely to have abnormalities, which may lead to problems with the concentration function of the tubules, resulting in the backflow of urine. This is also the reason for increased nocturia and frequency. Therefore, excessive nocturia may indicate kidney problems.

4. Precursor to diabetes

Many diabetes patients have to visit the toilet frequently every day, which is a normal phenomenon. Therefore, frequent urination at night may also be a precursor to diabetes, as the body is unable to eliminate excess blood sugar, leading to frequent urination.
