  [Morphological Characteristics]

  Sedum lanceolatum is an annual herb, 5-30cm tall. The whole plant is hairless. The roots are fibrous. The stem is solitary or clustered, branched or unbranched, and has ridges. Adventitious roots often grow on the nodes at the base.

  The fruit of Yasong tilts upwards when it is ripe. The seeds are oval, brown, smooth, and 0.4mm long. It flowers from May to July and fruits from August to September.

  It grows on slopes or cliffs in valleys and is distributed in Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, and other places.

  [Functions and Indications] It clears heat and detoxifies, and is used to treat hot toxic abscesses, erysipelas, orchitis, burns, damp sores, bacterial dysentery, and amoebic dysentery.

  [Dosage and Administration] Internal use: decoct 15-30g; or pound and extract juice, use 50-100g of fresh herb. External use: appropriate amount, pound and apply; or pound and apply juice; or decoct and wash.

[Compatibility and Applications]
