December 24, 2023

At middle age, osteoporosis can be considered a common disease, mainly manifesting as back pain or general body pain. In severe cases, it can make it difficult to sit, stand, or walk, and even lead to fractures. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent osteoporosis in advance. Below, we will introduce several dietary therapies for osteoporosis.

  1. Tofu and Pork Bone Soup

Ingredients: 1000g pork bone soup, 2 pieces of tofu, 1 egg, 25g dried shrimp.

Preparation: Put the above ingredients in a pot, add spring onions, ginger, garlic, cooking oil, salt, and monosodium glutamate to taste, and cook until it becomes a soup.

Benefits: This soup is effective for treating osteoporosis and follows the principle of "eating what you lack".

  2. Sea Cucumber and Pork Soup

Ingredients: 3 sea cucumbers, 200g lean pork, 10g dried shrimp, 2 eggs, 50g bamboo shoots, 500g chicken broth, ginger, spring onions, wine, sugar, salt, monosodium glutamate, and sesame oil to taste.

Preparation: Soak the sea cucumbers in water, remove the internal organs, wash them, and cut them in half. Chop the pork and dried shrimp into a paste, add salt, and stuff it into the sea cucumbers. Beat the eggs to make a thin layer of skin, cut it into strips. Wash the bamboo shoots and soak them. Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan, stir-fry the ginger and spring onion until fragrant, remove from the pan. In the same pan, fry the sea cucumbers slightly, then add wine, sugar, salt, bamboo shoots, egg strips, and chicken broth. Cook for 10 minutes, then add more egg strips, spring onions, and monosodium glutamate. Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil.

Benefits: This soup, which contains sea cucumber and pork, is effective for treating osteoporosis.

  3. Mulberry and Beef Bone Soup

Preparation: 25g mulberries, 250-500g beef bones. Wash the mulberries and steam them with a little wine and sugar. Boil the beef bones in a pot of water, skim off any foam when it boils, add ginger and spring onions, and continue boiling. When the beef bones turn white, it means the calcium, phosphorus, and gelatin from the bones have dissolved into the soup. Remove the bones and add the steamed mulberries. Bring to a boil again, skim off any foam, season to taste, and then it can be consumed.

Benefits: Mulberries nourish the liver and kidneys, while beef bones contain abundant calcium and collagen, promoting bone growth. This soup nourishes yin, replenishes blood, nourishes the kidneys, and strengthens the tendons, making it especially suitable for osteoporosis and menopause syndrome.

  4. Soybean and Pork Bone Soup

Ingredients: 250g fresh pork bones, 100g soybeans.

Preparation: Soak the soybeans in water for 6-8 hours. Wash the fresh pork bones and cut them into pieces. Boil them in water to remove any blood stains. Then put the pork bones in a clay pot, add 20g of ginger, 200g of yellow wine, and a suitable amount of salt. Add 1000ml of water and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat until the bones are tender, then add the soybeans and continue cooking until the beans are soft. It can be consumed. Take it once a day, 200ml each time, and make one batch per week.

Benefits: Fresh pork bones contain natural calcium and gelatin, which can supplement bone growth. Soybeans contain isoflavones, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and other nutrients needed for bone growth. This soup is good for preventing bone aging and osteoporosis.
