  【Cultivation Methods of Five-claw wind】

  1. Characteristics of Cultivation

Five-claw wind prefers environments with abundant sunlight, mild climate, and moderate humidity. It has strong adaptability and can be cultivated in high mountains, hills, and flat areas. It does not have strict soil requirements and is commonly found in wastelands, field edges, or roadsides. It grows best in sunny, fertile, and moist sandy loam soil.

  2. Cultivation Techniques

It is mainly propagated by division. Take the new plants growing on the creeping stems of the old plants as seedlings, each plant should have roots. Planting can be done in spring (March-April) or autumn (September-October), with autumn planting being preferable. Dig holes with a spacing of 20cm between rows, plant 2-3 seedlings per hole, cover with soil and press gently, and apply diluted animal and human fecal water as fertilizer.

  3. Field Management

Watering should be done promptly after planting. For autumn planting, tillage and weeding should be done in mid-December of the same year, and fertilize once. Weeds should be removed regularly, and shallow tillage and supplementary fertilization should be done once in May and September-October after two harvests. Fertilizers can be animal and human fecal water or ammonium sulfate. After 3-4 years of continuous harvesting, it needs to be replanted in a different area.
