Spring Liver Health: Nourishing Recipes for a Balanced Metabolism

Chinese medicine believes that liver health should be the focus of spring health. In the spring, people's metabolism is more active, which can easily lead to excessive liver fire. 1. Tianma Fish Head Soup

Ingredients: 1 fish head, 50g Tianma, salt, green onion, ginger, garlic, a little cooking wine

Instructions: 1. Wash the fish head with clean water, wash the Tianma and cut it into sections, soak it in water until soft, then drain and set aside;

2. Heat the pot, add oil, sauté the green onion, ginger, and garlic until fragrant, add a little cooking wine, pour in the fish head, fry to remove the fishy smell, take it out after about 1-2 minutes and set aside.

3. Pour water into the stewing pot, place the fish head at the bottom of the pot, then add Tianma, add enough water to cover, stew over high heat until boiling, then switch to medium to low heat and simmer for 1-2 hours, then add salt to taste.

2. Silk Gourd Stir-fried with Wood Ear and Pork Kidney

Ingredients: 1 silk gourd, 15g black wood ear, 2 pork kidneys, soy sauce, sugar, wine, starch, as needed

Instructions: 1. Open the pork kidneys, remove the white tendons, rub with salt, wash with clean water, and cut into slices. Marinate with the seasoning for a while.

2. Soak the black wood ear in clean water, wash repeatedly, then boil over low heat until soft; peel and wash the silk gourd, cut into pieces; prepare ginger paste;

3. Heat the oil in a wok, sauté the ginger paste, stir-fry the silk gourd and black wood ear, add a little broth, season and serve.

4. Heat the oil in another wok, stir-fry the pork kidneys until cooked, thicken the sauce, and place it on top of the silk gourd.

Effect: Nourishes Yin, nourishes the kidney, and protects the liver and improves eyesight. The combination of the three ingredients can help improve the body's immune system, nourish and protect the liver.

3. Goji Berry and Sheep Liver Soup

Ingredients: 100g sheep liver, 20g straw mushrooms, 5g carrots, 1 small piece of ginger, 10g Eucommia bark, 5g goji berries, 5g Chinese knotweed

Instructions: 1. Wash and slice the ginger, carrots, and straw mushrooms. Soak and wash the three Chinese herbs in cold water.

2. Wash the sheep liver and cut it into thick slices, add ginger slices and cooking wine, mix well and marinate for 10 minutes, then blanch in boiling water, remove and wash.

3. Use Eucommia bark, Chinese knotweed, and bones to make a high broth in advance, then add ginger slices, carrot slices, straw mushroom slices, salt, goji berries, and sheep liver slices, and bring to a boil.

4. Add white pepper powder and simmer for about 10 minutes before serving.

Effect: Nourishes the liver and improves eyesight, nourishes essence and blood. It is used for patients with chronic hepatitis, dizziness, tinnitus, and weak liver and kidneys.

4. Goji Berry and Chrysanthemum Oolong Tea

Ingredients: 10 goji berries, 5 chrysanthemum flowers, half a pack of oolong tea

Instructions: Brew with boiling water.

Effect: Clears the liver and improves eyesight, nourishes the liver and kidneys. Oolong tea contains rich tea polyphenols, which can prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver, and nourish and protect the liver.
