Relieving Dizziness and Headaches: The Power of Gastrodia Elata

Many people often experience dizziness and headaches, which, although not a major problem, can have a significant impact on our bodies. Therefore, it is important to calm and relieve pain promptly. Below, we recommend several ways to use gastrodia elata to treat dizziness and vertigo!

 

1. Gastrodia Elata Boiled with Eggs

Ingredients: 60g fresh gastrodia elata, 3 eggs, 1000g water.

Method: Slice the fresh gastrodia elata and boil it in water for 30 minutes. Add the eggs and cook until done. Consume once a day, or every other day.

Effect: Treats headaches and dizziness.

2. Gastrodia Elata Fish Head Soup

Ingredients: 10g gastrodia elata, 1 carp fish head, a little chopped coriander, 15g cooking wine, a suitable amount of pepper.

Method: First, boil the gastrodia elata in water to extract the juice. Filter and set aside. Blanch the fish head in boiling water. Put the fish head and gastrodia elata in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water and cooking wine, and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Pour in the extracted juice, season with salt and pepper, simmer briefly, then ladle into bowls and sprinkle with chopped coriander.

Effect: Gastrodia elata has a good calming and pain-relieving effect. When cooked with fish head, it not only nourishes the body but also relieves headaches.

 

3. Gastrodia Elata Stewed Chicken

Ingredients: 1 chicken (about 500g), 10g gastrodia elata, seasoning to taste.

Method: After slaughtering and removing the feathers and internal organs, wash the chicken and slice the gastrodia elata. Put the gastrodia elata inside the chicken, place the chicken in a pot, add water, and stew until tender. Season to taste and consume.

Effect: Calms wind, promotes qi movement, invigorates blood, and treats physical weakness, postpartum blood deficiency, and dizziness.

4. Gastrodia Elata and Chuanxiong Tea

Ingredients: 5g gastrodia elata, 10g chuanxiong, 3g bai zhi, 3g green tea.

Method: Grind the chuanxiong, gastrodia elata, and bai zhi into a fine powder, mix well. Put the mixture in a tea bag and seal it. Put the tea bag and green tea in a teapot, pour in boiling water, and let it steep for 15 minutes before drinking.

Effect: Consuming chuanxiong and gastrodia elata together can be used for symptoms such as headaches, rheumatic pain, and abdominal pain.
