Clinical Application of Ding Gong Teng

1. Treatment of rheumatic bone pain and neuralgia

Ding Gong Teng is made into injection, with 6 grams of raw herbs in each 2 mL injection. The dosage is 2-4 mL per time, 1-2 times a day, intramuscular injection.

2. Clinical Application Cases of Ding Gong Teng

88 cases of acute and chronic rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, lumbar muscle strain, hypertrophic lumbar spondylitis, and traumatic arthritis were treated, and significant improvement in symptoms was observed. 39 cases showed good analgesic effect, 39 cases showed improvement in symptoms, and 10 cases were ineffective.

No side effects were found. Mild sweating is common after injection, which is a normal phenomenon. If sweating continues, drinking a cup of sugar water can help.

Preparation of Ding Gong Teng

1. Ding Gong Teng Injection

Ding Gong Teng is boiled in water twice. Boil for 2 hours in the first time and 1.5 hours in the second time. Combine the two decoctions, filter, concentrate to syrup, and add ethanol to produce precipitation.

2. Processing

Filter the ethanol solution and recover ethanol. Dissolve the residue in an appropriate amount of distilled water, refrigerate in the refrigerator overnight. Filter and concentrate the filtrate.

After precipitating with ethanol for 2 times, recover ethanol, and concentrate the residue. Add an appropriate amount of injection water, refrigerate in the refrigerator overnight, and filter. Add 0.5% (w/v) activated carbon to decolorize the filtrate, and filter.

Add 2% (v/v) Tween-80 to the filtrate and add injection water as needed. Filter with a No. 5 filter rod, seal, and sterilize at 100°C for 30 minutes. Each injection is 2 mL, equivalent to 5 grams of raw herbs.

Precautions for Using Ding Gong Teng

1. Use with caution for the weak

This product has a strong sweating effect, so it should be used with caution for those with weak constitution.

2. Pregnant women should avoid taking it.
