  Beef and Chestnut Mixed Grain Porridge

  

  【Ingredients】

  

  150g beef, 80g chestnuts, 4 shiitake mushrooms, 50g millet, 50g glutinous rice, 50g oatmeal, 50g brown rice, a pinch of salt.

  

  【Instructions】

  

  1: Rinse the millet, glutinous rice, and brown rice separately and soak them overnight.

  

  2: Wash the beef and cut it into small pieces.

  

  3: Blanch the beef in boiling water to remove the blood, and skim off any foam.

  

  4: Cut the chestnuts in half, and slice the shiitake mushrooms.

  

  5: Put the millet, glutinous rice, brown rice, and beef pieces into a pot, and add 800ml of water. Bring to a boil.

  

  6: Then add the shiitake mushrooms and chestnuts, and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour.

  

  7: Add the oatmeal and cook until the mixed grain porridge is soft and the beef is tender. Season with salt.

  

  8: Serve the cooked beef and chestnut mixed grain porridge in a bowl.
