Soothing Recipes for Stomach Yin Deficiency

Clinical Manifestations of Stomach Yin Deficiency Type Chronic Gastritis:


    Dull and persistent pain in the stomach area, noisy hunger, loss of appetite, or even loss of interest in food, dry mouth and throat, constipation, red tongue with less saliva, thin or rapid pulse.



[Stir-Fried Wood Ear and Lean Pork Slices]
Recipe: 20 grams of dried yellow flower fungus, 10 grams of dried black fungus, 60 grams of lean pork.
Method: Soak the black fungus in water and wash it clean, soak the yellow flower fungus slightly and drain. Thinly slice the lean pork and marinate with salt and yellow wine. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat, stir-fry the pork until partially cooked, then add the wood ear and yellow flower fungus, stir-fry together. Add salt and yellow wine to taste, stir-fry until fragrant, then add about half a bowl of light meat broth or clear soup, simmer for 8 minutes, remove from heat, garnish with scallions, and stir-fry briefly.
Effects: Soothes the liver and regulates the middle, nourishes the spleen and stomach.
Usage: Serve with meals.

[Milk and Chinese Yam Paste]
Recipe: 250 grams of milk, 30 grams of Chinese yam, 30 grams of flour.
Method: Peel and wash the Chinese yam, cut into small pieces, and cook with water until the soup thickens. Then add milk and flour paste, stir and cook until boiling.

[Ophiopogon japonicus Porridge]
Recipe: 30 grams of Ophiopogon japonicus, 100 grams of glutinous rice.
Method: First, decoct the Ophiopogon japonicus to remove impurities and reserve the juice. Wash the glutinous rice, add appropriate amount of water to cook porridge. When the porridge is almost done, add the Ophiopogon japonicus juice and some rock sugar, mix well and cook for a while.

Usage: Serve as breakfast or dinner, or as a snack.

[White Peony and Dendrobium Soup with Lean Pork]
Recipe: 250 grams of lean pork, 12 grams of white peony, 12 grams of dendrobium, 4 red dates.
Method: Cut the lean pork into pieces, wash the white peony, dendrobium, and red dates. Put all the ingredients into the pot, add appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 1-2 hours, season to taste.
Effects: Tonifies the stomach and nourishes yin, relieves pain.
Usage: Drink the soup and eat the meat.

[Prince Ginseng Stewed Chicken]
Recipe: 90 grams of chicken, 30 grams of prince ginseng, 15 grams of Chinese yam, 3 slices of ginger.
Method: Remove excess fat from the chicken, wash it clean and cut into pieces, wash the prince ginseng, Chinese yam, and ginger. Put all the ingredients into the stewing pot, add appropriate amount of water, stew over low heat for 1-2 hours, season to taste.
