Diabetes is a series of metabolic disorders caused by various pathogenic factors such as genetic factors, immune dysfunction, microbial infections and toxins, free radicals, and psychological factors, leading to impaired pancreatic function and insulin resistance. The main characteristic of diabetes is high blood sugar. Typical cases may present with symptoms such as polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia, and emaciation, known as the "three highs and one low" symptoms. If diabetes (blood sugar) is not well controlled, it can lead to complications and organ failure in the kidneys, eyes, and feet, and cannot be cured.
The current treatment methods mainly focus on long-term adherence to standardized treatment, including controlling the diet, maintaining moderate exercise, and rational use of medication. Medical experts currently advocate a diet structure with high carbohydrate content, reduced fat proportion, and controlled protein intake, which has a good effect on improving blood glucose tolerance. The following five foods have therapeutic effects.
