The original form of Hair Seven:
1. It has powdery buds, and the ascocarp is laterally attached to the branches, forming a round disc.
2. The whole plant has two colors: grayish-green in the early stage and reddish-brown when mature. The branch tips are grayish-green. There are clusters of buds on the branch tips, resembling tears.
3. There are no false cup spots, but sometimes there are white powdery buds. The medulla is white, loose, and turns slightly red when exposed to a 5%-10% potassium hydroxide solution.
4. The lower part of the branch is obviously flat, while the top is cylindrical with distinct longitudinal grooves. The branch surface is grayish-white or grayish-brown, smooth, without powdery buds or false cup spots. The ascocarp is laterally attached to the top of the branch, forming a round disc with a diameter of 3-8mm. The disc surface is light brown with grayish-white powdery frost, and there are marginal hairs.
