Clinical Manifestations of Liver-Depression Type Diarrhea:

Patients often experience stuffiness in the chest and hypochondrium, belching, poor appetite. They may experience abdominal pain and diarrhea when they are depressed, angry, or under emotional stress. They may also experience rumbling in the abdomen, wandering pain, frequent bowel movements, pale red tongue, and wiry pulse.

 


 

Plum Porridge

Ingredients: 15-20g black plum, 100g glutinous rice, appropriate amount of rock sugar.

Method: Clean the black plum and put it in a pot with water. Cook until the juice is thick, then remove the residue and keep the juice. Add the cleaned glutinous rice to cook the porridge. When the rice is cooked, add some rock sugar and simmer for a while.

Effects: Relieving liver depression, nourishing the spleen, and stopping diarrhea.

Usage: Take it twice a day while it's hot. Can be eaten as breakfast and dinner.

 

Three-color Milk

Ingredients: 250g chives, 25g ginger, 250g milk.

Method: Cut the chives and ginger into small pieces, mash them, and squeeze out the juice. Put the juice in a pot and add the milk. Bring to a boil.

Effects: Suppressing liver, invigorating spleen, and stopping diarrhea.

Usage: Take one dose daily, drink it all while it's hot.

 

Three-Flower Wind-Preventing Tea

Ingredients: 24g cowpea flowers, 12g lily flowers, 12g rose flowers, 12g wind-preventing herbs.

Method: Boil the above ingredients in water to make a decoction. Add brown sugar to taste and drink it as tea.

Effects: Suppressing liver, invigorating spleen, and stopping diarrhea.

Usage: Take one dose daily, drink it anytime.
