1. Prone position: The patient lies face down on the bed, with arms resting at the sides and a thin pillow under the chin. This position is beneficial for treating the back, waist, buttocks, posterior sides of the lower limbs, and neck.
2. Lateral position: The patient lies on one side on the bed, with the lower limb on the same side flexed and the leg on the opposite side naturally extended (if lying on the left side, the left leg is flexed and the right leg is naturally extended). Both upper limbs are flexed and placed in front of the body. This position is beneficial for treating the shoulders, arms, and lateral sides of the lower limbs.
3. Supine position: The patient lies flat on their back on the bed, with both upper limbs resting at the sides. This position is beneficial for treating the chest, abdomen, both sides of the upper limbs, anterior sides of the lower limbs, and the head, face, and rib area.
4. Sitting position: The patient sits on a chair with a backrest, with both upper limbs naturally overlapping and resting on the back of the chair. This position is beneficial for treating the neck, shoulders, back, both upper limbs, and both lower limbs.
