Pre-Pregnancy Nutrition: Building a Solid Foundation for Fetal Development

February 20, 2024

If you are planning to get pregnant, it is important to consciously strengthen your nutrition before pregnancy to provide a good foundation for fetal development and conception.

Firstly, develop good eating habits. Different foods contain different nutrients in varying amounts. Therefore, try to eat a variety of foods, avoid being picky or overindulging, and ensure a balanced and comprehensive diet.

Secondly, enhance nutrition in your diet. Pay special attention to the intake of proteins, minerals, and vitamins. In addition to regular meals, consume more fruits.

Thirdly, avoid food contamination. Emphasize food hygiene. Choose fresh and natural foods whenever possible, and avoid foods with additives, colorings, preservatives, etc., such as canned foods, beverages, and packaged convenience foods. Vegetables should be thoroughly washed, and fruits should be peeled to avoid pesticide contamination. Drink plenty of plain water and avoid stimulating beverages like coffee and tea. Use iron or stainless steel cookware instead of aluminum or colored enamel products to prevent harm from aluminum or lead elements to the body.
