Type of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis

The symptoms of this type are abdominal distension and pain before or during menstruation, dark menstrual blood with blood clots. For people with such symptoms, it is necessary to harmonize Qi and blood, and dissolve stasis to relieve pain. Because "the liver is the foundation for women," the selected medicinal materials for foot soaking are mainly those that enter the Jueyin liver meridian of the foot, and a moderate amount of vinegar is added, such as 30g each of green tangerine peel, black cardamom, and motherwort, 10g each of chuanxiong and safflower. Add about two liters of water, about 50ml of vinegar, boil over high heat, then simmer for 30 minutes over low heat. When the medicine cools down to 50℃, pour the residue into the basin for foot soaking, and the amount of liquid in the basin should submerge the ankle joint. If the amount of liquid is insufficient, add an appropriate amount of warm water. Keep moving your feet in the liquid, allowing the soles of your feet to receive slight physical stimulation from the residue, for at least 30 minutes each time.

Introduction to Foot Soaking Method:

The method of foot soaking is actually very simple, but each time you should persist for at least 30 minutes and continue for 3 months. Before soaking your feet, you can steam your feet with hot air for a while, and start soaking your feet when the water temperature is suitable. You can add hot water during the soaking process, preferably until you sweat slightly all over your body. During foot soaking, your feet should keep moving in the medicine, allowing the soles of your feet to receive slight physical stimulation from the residue. It is best to rub your toes with your hands, especially the big toe. The boiled Chinese medicine can be reused several times.

The menstrual flow is small and pale, and it is necessary to regulate menstruation by nourishing Qi and blood. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is called "the spleen governs blood." The selected medicinal materials for foot soaking should mainly enter the Taiyin spleen meridian of the foot, and a moderate amount of malt sugar should be added. For example, you can use 15g each of white peony root, angelica, chuanxiong, cooked rehmannia root, white atractylodes rhizome, eucommia bark, and astragalus, and an appropriate amount of malt sugar, boil and soak your feet.
