Regulating Menstrual Cycles: Three Types of Foods to Consider

December 16, 2023

Women with menstrual disorders can eat the following three types of foods to regulate their menstrual cycles:

1. Fruits: Melons (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon), oranges, pears, tomatoes, coconuts, star fruits, grapefruits, lychees, mangoes, bananas, longan, etc. Try to consume less of these raw or dry fruits as they can be cold in nature, and avoid them during menstruation.

2. Vegetables: Radishes, water spinach, Chinese cabbage, bitter gourd, etc. These vegetables are usually cooked with ingredients such as onions, garlic, ginger, and fermented soybeans, which reduce their cooling properties. Therefore, they can be consumed.

3. Cold drinks and frozen desserts (pudding, jelly, etc.). If you want to consume them, wait for at least 30 minutes and have them when they have cooled down. In addition, hot coffee and hot tea generally have no restrictions.
