The Power of Three: Quick and Effective 3-Minute Exercises for Busy Individuals

When it comes to fitness, many people may frown, not because they are unwilling to exercise, but because they lack time. This seems to be the unified reason for most non-exercisers. So, just because we are busy with work or lack time, does it mean we should give up on fitness and exercise? Is there a simpler way to exercise that only takes a few minutes? The answer is yes. A traditional Chinese medicine doctor recommended four 3-minute exercises to us, which have been tried and tested by a white-collar man and found to be effective. Let me share them with you.

3 minutes of hand rubbing

Start by rubbing the palms of both hands together until they feel slightly warm, then rub the backs of the hands against each other, and finally cross the fingers and rub them against each other. The hands have many acupoints, and regularly rubbing these acupoints can have a health-preserving effect on the corresponding internal organs.

3 minutes of cold water bath

Wash the whole body with cold water, which can promote blood circulation throughout the body. It may feel cold at first, but after 5 minutes, it will become warm and comfortable. This can help prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

3 minutes of bending

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, gradually lower your head and bend your waist, touch the ground with your hands, and repeat this every two seconds, 30 times in 1 minute. You can start with fewer repetitions and gradually increase them. This exercise can increase the resistance of cerebral blood vessels and also provide some relief for migraine, which troubles many people.

3 minutes of supine breathing

Lie down and relax your whole body on the bed, take a deep breath, fill your belly, and then slowly exhale, repeating this several times. This movement can exercise the internal organs of the whole body and allow the blood vessels and nerves to move in a relaxed and rhythmic manner. It is beneficial for digestion, phlegm elimination, and restful sleep.
