Massage Health Methods

Modern people have busy work and life, often experiencing back pain and soreness. Massage has gradually become a popular way of health preservation. So what are the methods of massage for health preservation?

Is massage good? How to massage properly? Who is not suitable for massage?

Massage has many benefits for our body health, but not everyone is suitable for massage. At the same time, the massage method must be correct in order to have the effect of health preservation and avoid adverse effects. Let's learn two massage methods together to see what methods of massage for health preservation there are.

  Massage Health Methods

  Rubbing

Sit in a comfortable position, with your feet apart shoulder-width. While relaxing your body, rub your palms together to generate heat. Once your palms are warm, place them on the Mingmen acupoint (3.5 inches on either side of the fourth lumbar spinous process) and rub vigorously. During this process, pay attention to adjusting your breathing, try to breathe deeply to enhance kidney function. The range of rubbing should be as large as possible, which not only benefits the waist but also has a massage effect on the coccyx area. After pausing for about 3-5 breaths, rub the palms along both sides of the lumbar spine, vigorously rubbing up and down until the Changqiang acupoint (between the coccyx tip and the anus), and then rub down to the end of the two arms, repeating 36 times.

  Kneading

After rubbing, the waist and surrounding meridians are unblocked, resulting in a feeling of warmth. In this situation, we need to continue to knead the area below the Mingmen acupoint (parallel to the umbilicus, below the second lumbar spinous process) to the coccyx. During the kneading process, concentrate your mind, knead and then release, repeating the process 3-4 times.

  Rubbing

After kneading, the muscles from the Mingmen acupoint to the coccyx will be in a relatively tense state, so our next task is to relax them. The action is relatively simple: first, lightly clench both hands into fists with the knuckles facing up, and rotate and rub the protruding part of the metacarpophalangeal joint on both sides of the Mingmen acupoint. Rotate and rub in a clockwise direction 18 times, and then in a counterclockwise direction 18 times. Both sides can be done simultaneously or one side after the other.

  Grasping

Gently clench both hands into fists, with the knuckles facing down, and use the palms of both fists to lightly tap (to a degree that is not painful) the sacrococcygeal region. Tap each side 36 times.

  Scratching

Cross your hands behind your waist, place your thumbs in front, and let the other four fingers naturally rest on your waist. Use the four fingers resting on your waist to scratch and rub your skin outward. Perform the scratching and rubbing motion on both sides simultaneously, 36 times each.

  Rotating

Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart, and place your hands on your waist (four fingers in front, thumbs in the back).
