Massaging these three acupoints can help eliminate toxins from the body.
Yingxiang Acupoint
Also known as Chongyang Acupoint, it is the meeting point of the Hand Yangming Meridian. It is located about one centimeter beside the nostril (on the outer edge of the nostril, in the middle of the nasolabial groove). Yingxiang Acupoint is the highest acupoint of the Large Intestine Meridian, and all the Yang Qi that runs along the meridian gathers here. From a medical perspective, massaging the Yingxiang Acupoint can effectively improve blood circulation in the local and adjacent tissues, enhance the body's adaptability to weather changes, and resistance to pathogenic factors.
There are four massage methods that can be used. First, place the thumbs of both hands on the lower jaw on the same side, and the middle fingers on the Yingxiang Acupoint on the same side. The remaining three fingers should be bent towards the palm, and then massage the Yingxiang Acupoint in a clockwise direction for 36 rounds, followed by counterclockwise for 36 rounds, at a speed of one round per second. Second, press the Yingxiang Acupoint with the fingertip of the index finger. It is more effective to press in a left-right direction, and the pressing time should be about once per minute. Third, use the outer side of the thumb to massage along the smile lines and both sides of the nose in an up-down and triangular direction, with a massage frequency of once per minute. Fourth, place the fingertip of the index finger on the Yingxiang Acupoint, and rotate and rub it, while coordinating with breathing, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. When inhaling, rub outwards and upwards, and when exhaling, rub inwards and downwards. Massage until the skin becomes slightly warm.
Quchi Acupoint
Quchi Acupoint is the meeting point of the Large Intestine Meridian and the Lung Meridian. The Large Intestine and the Lung are interconnected, and the Lung governs the skin and hair. Therefore, this acupoint has the function of dispelling wind-heat, dispersing the surface, and expelling external pathogens. Massaging the Quchi Acupoint can not only dispel external heat, but also clear internal heat, and has the effects of clearing heat, detoxifying, cooling blood, dispelling wind, reducing swelling, and relieving pain.
It is located at the outer end of the elbow crease. When selecting the acupoint, the patient should sit in the correct position, bend the elbow, and locate the acupoint at the end of the elbow crease, which is the depression on the inner edge of the upper outer condyle of the humerus. The massage method of the Quchi Acupoint can refer to the massage method of the Hegu Acupoint.
Hegu Acupoint
It belongs to the Large Intestine Meridian of the Hand Yangming. It is located at the tiger's mouth on the back of the hand, between the first and second metacarpal bones. The method of selecting the acupoint is simple and easy to learn. Place the thumb and index finger together and locate the acupoint at the highest point of the muscle. Alternatively, form a 90-degree angle between the thumb and index finger of one hand, and place the joint of the thumb of the other hand against the edge of the tiger's mouth. Press down with the thumb, and the tip of the finger will point to the Hegu Acupoint.
Regularly massaging the Hegu Acupoint can alleviate or eliminate diseases of the tissues and organs along the route of the Large Intestine Meridian. There are four massage methods for the Hegu Acupoint, namely pressing, kneading, one-finger Zen pushing, and dotting. Pressing is to press and twist the thumb tip on the Hegu Acupoint; kneading is to put the thumb pad on the Hegu Acupoint and gently knead it; one-finger Zen pushing is to place the thumb tip on the Hegu Acupoint and swing it left and right with the wrist joint; dotting is to place the thumb tip on the Hegu Acupoint and press it straight.
