1. Massage to stop coughing
Press firmly on the Tian Tu point between the clavicles for 6 seconds. This method can immediately stop coughing, whether it is acute cough or the presence of foreign objects in the throat.
When using this method, exhale while applying pressure. Repeat three times to see results. For children, it is advisable to reduce the pressure and increase the number of repetitions to achieve the same effect.
2. Eliminate plum pit qi
Instruct the patient to repeatedly press the Tian Tu point (suprasternal notch) with the index finger of one hand, with moderate force, for about 10 times each time, until there is a local sour, swollen, and slightly painful sensation.
