Functions of Quze Acupoint

In the theory of the Five Elements, the Pericardium Meridian belongs to the element of fire, while the Quze acupoint belongs to the element of water. Therefore, massaging this acupoint regularly has the function of clearing the heart and reducing fire, relieving restlessness and calming the mind.

If you often experience chest heat, dizziness, or suffer from diseases such as hypertension and coronary heart disease, which belong to the syndrome of Pericardium Meridian heat, you can regulate it by massaging the Quze acupoint.

In addition, the Quze acupoint can also be used to treat heart pain. The "Jia Yi Jing" records: "Heart pain and sudden coughing, Quze is the main point, bleeding will stop";

The "Qian Jin Fang" says: "Quze and Dalin are the main points for heart and chest oppression, fright";

The "Tongren" says that the Quze acupoint can "treat heart pain, relieve restlessness and heat in the body, irritability, dry mouth, reverse qi, hematemesis, wind stroke, and shaking of the arm, elbow, and wrist." These are the experiences gained by the ancients through continuous medical trials.
