To prevent heatstroke in a high-temperature environment, massage the Queze acupoint. Let me show you how to locate the Queze acupoint quickly.

Symptoms of Heatstroke

In hot weather, if you experience symptoms such as dizziness, blurred vision, headache, nausea, chest tightness, and irritability, you may have heatstroke.

Classification of Heatstroke

One type is dry heat, which is caused by high temperature and radiation. Intense sunlight and high temperature cause a large loss of body fluids. If the fluids are not replenished in time, heatstroke is very likely to occur.

The other type is high temperature and high humidity, which is common in summer. In this case, the body cannot sweat properly and increased blood flow to the skin can also lead to heatstroke. This is where the Queze acupoint comes in handy.

Massage the Queze Acupoint to Prevent Heatstroke

The Queze acupoint is the meeting point of the Hand Jueyin Pericardium Meridian. From the literal meaning, "Que" represents secrecy, and "Ze" means irrigation.

The Qi and blood of the Pericardium Meridian converge here, so it can be seen from the name that the Queze acupoint can nourish the heart.

This acupoint is located on the transverse crease of the elbow, on the inner edge of the biceps tendon.

When locating the acupoint, slightly bend the elbow joint and feel for the pulsation of the artery at the depression on the upper transverse crease and the inner side of the major tendon.

After heatstroke, you can use your right thumb to press the left Heqimen acupoint, and then rotate the left wrist inward to massage the Queze acupoint. There should be a sense of pain when massaging this acupoint.

Combination Application of the Queze Acupoint

1. Queze acupoint combined with Neiguan and Zhongwan acupoints can treat vomiting and stomach pain.

2. Queze acupoint combined with Weizhong and Quchi acupoints can treat heatstroke.
