  The Tian Chong acupoint is located on the head of the human body and belongs to the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that Tian Chong acupoint has the function of clearing heat and reducing swelling. It is commonly used in the clinical treatment of headaches, vomiting, gum swelling and pain, and other diseases. The specific usage is as follows:
 


 

  Tian Chong Acupoint

  "Tian Chong Acupoint". "Tian" refers to the qi and blood in the upper part of the body. "Chong" means the qi and blood flowing like a jet.

  The name of this acupoint implies that the qi of the Gallbladder Meridian absorbs heat, expands and disperses, and then jets to various parts of the body.

  The substance of this acupoint is the damp qi transmitted from the Shuai Gu acupoint. After reaching this acupoint, due to the heat transmitted from the outside, the damp qi expands and disperses and jets to the parts outside the Gallbladder Meridian, hence the name "Tian Chong Acupoint".

  Application of Tian Chong Acupoint

  Main diseases treated: headaches, dizziness, trigeminal neuralgia, hearing loss, goiter, hearing impairment, epilepsy, panic, gum swelling and pain, etc.

  Clinical application: Nowadays, it is commonly used in the treatment of hereditary ataxia, tremor paralysis, and hysteria.
 


 

  Acupoint combinations:

  Tian Chong acupoint is combined with Feng Chi acupoint and Mu Chang acupoint to treat headaches.

  Tian Chong acupoint is combined with Bai Hui acupoint and Tou Wei acupoint to have the function of promoting blood circulation and relieving pain, and it is used to treat headaches.

  Tian Chong acupoint is combined with Tian Tu acupoint and Shui Tu acupoint to have the function of dispersing lumps and nodules, and it is used to treat goiter.

  Tian Chong acupoint is combined with Bai Hui acupoint, Nei Guan acupoint, and Tai Chong acupoint to have the function of soothing the liver, regulating qi, calming the mind, and it is used to treat hysteria.

  Tian Chong Acupoint Therapy

  Treatment principles: tonify with moxibustion if cold, and disperse with acupuncture if hot.

  Daily healthcare: press and massage vertically with the tip of the index finger, feeling sourness and distension. Do it once in the morning and evening.

  Acupuncture method: Tian Chong acupoint, needle it along the skin for 0.3-0.5 cun.

  Moxibustion method: Tian Chong acupoint, moxibustion with moxa stick for 5-10 minutes.
