Quze Acupoint

【Quze Acupoint】The name of the meridian point. From "Ling Shu: Ben Shu". Belongs to the Hand Jueyin Pericardium Meridian. It is a (Water) point.

【Name Explanation】"Quze Acupoint". "Qu" means hidden. "Ze" means marsh. The name Quze implies that the qi and blood of the pericardium meridian converge here.

This acupoint is located in the southern part of the body, where the meridian qi of the upper and lower parts of the pericardium meridian converge and dissipate heat and cold. It shows the characteristics of water's moisturizing and descending nature. However, the meridian water transmitted from Tianquan acupoint to this acupoint still contains a large amount of vaporized water dampness, which generates qi and blood like a tropical marsh. Therefore, it is named Quze.

Efficacy and Function of Quze Acupoint

Heartache, easy to startle, palpitations, stomachache, vomiting, muscle cramps, fever, restlessness, pain in the elbow and arm, tremors in the upper limbs, coughing.
