February 8, 2024

Tianchong point is an acupoint in the human body, located on the head, directly above the root of the ear, 2 inches into the hairline. Stimulating Tianchong point through acupuncture or massage has good effects. Now, let's learn more about Tianchong point together.

Method 1

Stimulating Tianchong point can be done by pressing. Use the thumb to press Tianchong point, gradually increasing the pressure, hold for 2-3 seconds, release, rest for 3 seconds, and then press again. Pressing and releasing once is one cycle, repeat for 2-3 minutes.

Another method is kneading. When kneading, the range can be larger. Use the index finger, middle finger, and ring finger together, with Tianchong point as the center. Apply a certain amount of pressure and rotate while kneading. Knead for 2-3 minutes each time, with the skin feeling warm and swollen as appropriate.

Friction can also be used. Rub the index finger and middle finger up and down on the location of Tianchong point, with a localized sour and swollen feeling as the desired effect.

Method 2

Use the index fingers of both hands to press Tianchong point, once in the morning and once in the evening, each time for 3-5 minutes. This method can treat gum swelling and pain.

If gum swelling and pain are accompanied by toothache or headache, you can also massage Hegu point to relieve the pain.

Use the index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger together, press and knead Tianchong point for 1-3 minutes, with localized skin feeling warm as the desired effect. Persist in massaging every day to relieve symptoms such as gum swelling and pain, and headache in children.
