Gongsun Acupoint
1. Gongsun: "Gongsun" refers to the relationship between the material inside the acupoint and the spleen earth. The material of the spleen meridian belongs to the earth element, with fire as its father, wood as its grandfather, metal as its son, and water as its grandson. The name "Gongsun" indicates that the material in this acupoint is the combination of the qi and blood of the spleen meridian and the Chong Mai meridian, which transforms into the water, dampness, and wind in the celestial region. The material in this acupoint comes from two sources: the celestial qi transmitted from the Taibai Point and the high-temperature water from the Chong Mai meridian transmitted through the pores of the earth region. The high-temperature water from the Chong Mai meridian rapidly vaporizes after reaching the surface of the body, combining with the gaseous substance in the celestial region, forming the water, dampness, and wind in this acupoint of the celestial region, hence the name "Gongsun." (The Chong Mai meridian is the "ocean" of meridians, characterized by "governing the irrigation of valleys and ravines." Its source is located in the high-temperature area of the center of the body's gravitational field, the uterine cavity. Therefore, the qi and blood substance of the Chong Mai meridian has a higher temperature and pressure. The Gongsun acupoint is located in the foot of a person, under the constraint of the Earth's gravitational field, and the substance of the Chong Mai meridian flowing to the Gongsun acupoint is downward water. The pathway of flow is the internal meridians of the Chong Mai meridian, so the qi and blood from the Chong Mai meridian will rapidly vaporize after exiting the Gongsun acupoint.)
2. Acupoint of the Foot Taiyin Meridian: "Luo" means connection. The material in this acupoint is the water, dampness, and wind in the celestial region. Its movement is the horizontal dispersion of the spleen and stomach meridians, playing a role in connecting the qi and blood of the spleen and stomach meridians. Therefore, it is the acupoint of the foot Taiyin meridian.
3. Meeting Point of the Chong Mai and Foot Taiyin Meridians: The explanation of the name of the Gongsun acupoint is the same as the above.
