Today, I will introduce them to you, hoping to be helpful!

Massage Techniques for Indigestion

1. Massage the Zusanli Acupoint for Indigestion

The spleen and stomach are the foundation of acquired constitution, and Zusanli is a magical herb in the human body. It has a dual-directional regulatory effect on the digestive system as it is the acupoint of the Stomach Meridian of Foot Yangming. For example, massaging it can stop diarrhea and promote bowel movements in case of constipation. There is a saying in traditional Chinese medicine that "keep the stomach and abdomen at Zusanli," which means that problems related to the digestive system can be cured by using Zusanli. Acupuncture is the most effective method, but massage and scraping have similar effects.

2. Massage the Sifeng Acupoint for Indigestion

The Sifeng acupoint is an extraordinary acupoint outside the meridians, specifically used to treat indigestion and accumulation of food. Originally used by doctors to treat digestive problems in children, it has been proven to be very effective for adults as well. So, whenever you encounter indigestion problems in the future, you can use the Sifeng acupoint for relief. Massage it with your thumb, and the effect will be amazing.

3. Massage the Xiawan Acupoint for Indigestion

The Xiawan acupoint is located in the abdomen, close to the spleen and stomach. In traditional Chinese medicine, there is a principle for selecting acupoints called "selecting acupoints nearby," which means selecting acupoints around and near the affected area. This method has been proven to be effective. Xiawan, when paired with Neiting, can clear the stomach, relieve fire, and promote digestion.

Dietary Treatment for Indigestion

1. Lamb Porridge

Cook 250g of fresh lean lamb until tender, then cook it with glutinous rice to make porridge. Eat it twice a day. This recipe can strengthen the middle, nourish qi, warm the stomach, and treat indigestion and abdominal pain caused by weak spleen and stomach. It is especially suitable for the elderly with deficiency of qi, insufficient yang qi, aversion to cold, and abdominal pain.

2. Amomum Porridge

Cook porridge with 100g of glutinous rice first, then add 5g of ground amomum and cook for a while. This recipe can warm the spleen and stomach, relieve stagnation, disperse heat, and stop vomiting. It is suitable for stomach pain, bloating, and vomiting.

3. Finger Citron Porridge

Boil 20g of finger citron and strain the soup. Cook 100g of glutinous rice with an appropriate amount of water to make porridge. After the porridge is cooked, add rock sugar and the finger citron soup, and cook for a while. Eat it twice a day. This recipe has a refreshing and appetizing effect, and it can regulate qi and relieve pain. It is suitable for the elderly with weak stomach, indigestion, belching, and stomach pain.

Precautions for Indigestion:

1. Avoid eating pickled foods: These foods contain a lot of salt and certain carcinogens, so they should not be eaten in large quantities.

2. Suitable temperature: The temperature of food should be "neither too hot nor too cold."

3. Chew slowly and swallow slowly: To reduce the burden on the gastrointestinal tract, thoroughly chew the food. The more you chew, the more saliva is secreted, which can protect the gastric mucosa.

4. Avoid stimulating foods: Spicy, greasy, fried, and junk foods should be avoided as they can harm our intestines and stomach and worsen indigestion.
