The Tian Chong acupoint is located on the head of the human body and belongs to the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the Tian Chong acupoint has the effect of clearing heat and reducing swelling. It is commonly used in clinical practice to treat headaches, vomiting, gingivitis, and other diseases. The specific usage is as follows:
Tian Chong Acupoint
"Tian", refers to the qi and blood in the celestial part. "Chong", refers to the qi and blood circulation resembling a jet.
The name of this acupoint indicates that the qi and blood of the Gallbladder Meridian, after being heated by external factors, expands and disperses, and jets to various parts of the celestial realm.
The substance of this acupoint is the moistness of water and dampness transmitted from the Ru Gu acupoint. After reaching this acupoint, due to the heat transmitted from outside the acupoint, the qi of water and dampness expands and disperses, and jets to the celestial parts outside the Gallbladder Meridian, hence the name "Tian Chong Acupoint".
