2. Genetic factors: Those with a family history of allergies are more susceptible to this disease. Family members of patients often have a history of asthma, urticaria, or drug allergies.

3. Nasal mucosal susceptibility: Susceptibility arises from frequent stimulation by antigen substances, but the degree of susceptibility depends on the quantity of mast cells and eosinophils in the nasal mucosal tissue, as well as their ability to release chemical mediators. It has been confirmed that allergic rhinitis patients have a higher number of these cells in their nasal mucosa compared to normal individuals, and they have a strong ability to release chemical mediators.

4. Antigen substances:

(1) Inhalant allergens: Not all plant pollens can cause disease. Only those with high pollen count, wide vegetation area, strong allergenicity, and spread by wind are most likely to become allergens. Fungi are widely distributed in nature and mainly exist in soil and decaying organic matter. House dust mites belong to the arachnid class of arthropods. Animal dander is one of the strongest allergens. Indoor dust is a common allergen that causes perennial rhinitis.

(2) Ingestant allergens: These are substances that enter the body through the digestive tract and cause nasal symptoms. Milk, eggs, fish and shrimp, meat, fruits, and even certain vegetables can become allergens.
