Torticolis

Torticolis is mostly caused by improper sleeping posture at night or wind chill on the neck during sleep, it is a very common and normal phenomenon.

Patients often wake up with a sore neck and cannot turn their head. At this time, as long as you massage the specific "torticolis point", you can relieve the pain. The "torticolis point" is located between the metacarpal bones of the back of the hand, half a thumb width above the metacarpophalangeal joint. Use the side of your index or middle finger to press and massage this point.

 Lumbago

Lumbago, known as acute lumbar sprain in medicine, is mostly caused by excessive force, excessive activity, or external collisions that cause soft tissue damage. When experiencing lumbago, massaging the "lumbago points" is very effective. The "lumbago points" are located between the index and middle fingers on the back of the hand, and between the ring finger and little finger, at the midpoint between the wrist crease and the metacarpophalangeal joint, with two points on each side. Alternate pressing these four points after a lumbar sprain.

 Acute Cholecystitis

The main manifestation of acute cholecystitis is severe cramping pain in the upper right abdomen after eating greasy food. It can also be accompanied by right shoulder and back pain, nausea, vomiting, chills, and fever. In severe cases, jaundice may occur. At this time, pressing the "gallbladder" point can relieve the pain. On the outer side of the lower leg, below the knee joint, you can feel a protrusion. The "gallbladder" point is two thumb widths below this depression.

 Acute Appendicitis

The typical pain of acute appendicitis starts in the upper abdomen, below the xiphoid process or around the navel. After about 6-8 hours or more, the pain gradually moves down and eventually settles in the lower right abdomen. After the pain is fixed, the pain in the initial area can significantly decrease or even disappear. When appendicitis occurs, pressing the "appendix" point can relieve the pain. The "appendix" point is located on the front side of the lower leg, five thumb widths below the edge of the knee joint, and one middle finger width on the outer side of the lower leg.
