Using the back of the hand near the side of the little finger or the protruding part of the palm joints of the little finger, ring finger, and middle finger, exerting force on a certain area, and continuously swinging the wrist joint flexion, extension, and external rotation to generate alternating force, continuously acting on the treatment area, is called the "ye" technique.
Key points of the technique:
1. The shoulder, elbow, and wrist should be relaxed. When using the "ye" technique, the back of the hand should be closely attached to the surface of the body, without bouncing or dragging friction.
2. The pressure should be even, and the swinging should be coordinated and rhythmic. It should not be too fast or too slow, with a frequency of 120-150 times per minute. This traditional Chinese massage technique helps to promote blood circulation, relieve joint stiffness, dissipate blood stasis, alleviate muscle and ligament spasms, enhance the tension and mobility of muscles and ligaments, and promote blood circulation and eliminate muscle fatigue.
This technique is commonly used in the neck and shoulder area, back, waist, hips, and other areas with thick muscles. It is often used in the treatment of various rheumatic and paralysis conditions, such as limb paralysis, hemiplegia, lower back and leg pain, frozen shoulder, cervical spondylosis, etc.
