Relieve Tension: Massage Techniques for the Forehead, Earlobes, Temples, Shoulders, and Neck

Massage Acupoints on the Forehead

 

1. Sit on a chair with a backrest or lie down on a bed.   

 

2. Relax your nerves, then stretch out your hands and use your thumbs to press the temples. Use the other four fingers to press the forehead from the bottom to the top, starting from the upper end of the eyebrows.

 

3. The strength of the massage should be light to moderate, then massage 30 times until the forehead area becomes slightly red.

Massage the Forehead

 

1. Be in a relaxed state, extend both hands, use thumbs to press the temples, then bend the index finger and keep the other three fingers in a fist.

 

2. Then use the outer side of the bent index finger's second joint to massage the forehead, gradually massaging from the middle of the forehead to the temples.   

 

3. Then return to the middle of the forehead for the next massage.   

 

4. While massaging the middle of the forehead, use your thumb to massage the temples at the same time.

Massage the Earlobes

 

1. Extend both hands and hold the earlobes on both sides, then massage according to the shape of the earlobes.   

 

2. While massaging, pay attention to even pressure and start from the inside and move to the outside in a clockwise direction.   

 

3. Then extend the index fingers of both hands, support the sides of the face with the base of the index fingers, and massage the area behind the earlobe.

Rub the Temples

 

1. Find the position of the temples, which is located in the hollow one inch behind the outer corner of the eye.   

 

2. Then use the thumb to apply pressure and gently rub the temples, starting from light to heavy.   

 

3. The massage direction can be clockwise 20 times, then counterclockwise 20 times. If you have a headache, you can use massage oil for better effect. 

Massage the Shoulders and Neck

 

1. Straighten your back and neck, then extend your right hand, bend your four fingers, and grip your neck.   

 

2. Then find the hollow at the back of the neck, which is the pillow neck area, and use four fingers to massage this area.   

 

3. Regular massage of this area can relieve headaches and restore energy.
