Massaging acupoints not only has health benefits for the body, but if women regularly massage these acupoints, it can delay aging and keep women looking young.

Massaging acupoints on the body can have a good health effect. For women, the Sanyinjiao acupoint is especially important, it can be said to be the "youthful acupoint" for women. It is the "miracle cure" for gynecological diseases and is often referred to as the "female Sanyili". Regular massaging of this acupoint can help women maintain their youth, delay aging, and postpone menopause.

The Sanyinjiao acupoint is the intersection of the three yin meridians: the spleen meridian of the foot Taiyin, the liver meridian of the foot Jueyin, and the kidney meridian of the foot Shaoyin, hence its name. It is located on the inside of the calf, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle (the width of the four fingers except the thumb), in the depression behind the tibia.

The benefits of frequently massaging the Sanyinjiao acupoint include: nourishing the blood and rejuvenating the skin, and toning the muscles. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the spleen governs the muscles. As people age, their muscles gradually become loose, resulting in an elderly appearance. Regular massaging can invigorate the spleen and slow down the process of muscle relaxation, helping women maintain healthy muscle tone. It can also regulate menstruation and improve skin health. Sanyinjiao is the acupoint where the three meridians of the spleen, liver, and kidney intersect. The spleen generates qi and blood, and governs the blood. The liver stores blood, and the kidney generates qi and blood. As long as a woman has sufficient qi and blood, problems like irregular menstruation will disappear. Facial blemishes, acne, and wrinkles in women are actually related to irregular menstruation.

The following methods can be used to massage the Sanyinjiao acupoint:

1. Massage method: Press the opposite Sanyinjiao acupoint with the tip of the thumb or middle finger, press and release once; or rub the Sanyinjiao acupoint in a clockwise direction and then counterclockwise for 10 minutes.

2. Tap method: rhythmically tap the opposite Sanyinjiao acupoint with a clenched fist, about 20 times, alternating.

3. Friction method: Rub the Sanyinjiao acupoint with a warm palm, about 20 times. In addition, moxibustion before bed can also help with sleep. Women with dysmenorrhea can start massaging the Hegu and Sanyinjiao acupoints about a week before menstruation, spending 3-5 minutes each day. Stimulate the Sanyinjiao acupoint 2-3 times a day, each time for 2 minutes (producing a sore and bloated feeling). When the menstrual period is approaching or when dysmenorrhea occurs, place 2 grams of herbal powder on adhesive tape and apply it to the Sanyinjiao acupoint, changing the medicine every other day.

To maintain women's health and well-being, it is recommended to massage these four acupoints:

1. Zhongji acupoint: Zhongji acupoint is the meeting point of the Ren meridian and the foot three yin meridian. It is located in the lower abdomen, 4 inches below the navel, and is the gathering point of the bladder.

2. Hegu acupoint: Hegu is the original point of the large intestine meridian and can be used to replenish and nourish the entire large intestine meridian. Hegu acupoint is located at the highest point when the thumb and index finger are brought together.

3. Diji acupoint: Diji acupoint has a strong function of promoting qi circulation and blood circulation. It is located on the inner side of the calf, 3 inches below the Yinlingquan acupoint. Yinlingquan acupoint is located on the outer side of the calf, in the depression below the head of the fibula.

4. Taichong acupoint: Taichong acupoint has a certain effect on improving and regulating liver function and eliminating pathological symptoms caused by liver dysfunction. It is an important acupoint for treating liver diseases. Taichong acupoint is located on the dorsum of the foot, in the depression behind the first metatarsal space.
