Acupuncture Points and the Autonomic Nervous System

The acupuncture points are closely related to the autonomic nervous system mentioned above. When an organ is abnormal, the blood vessels that control it become tense, and this abnormality manifests as tenderness on the surface of the skin, known as "visceral skin reflex." From a medical point of view, the location of the visceral skin reflex is the acupuncture point.

The human skin cannot be simply electrified, but it is easily electrified when the sympathetic nervous system is tense. These easily electrified points are named "good conductive points" by doctors. And these good conductive points are exactly the same as the traditional acupuncture points that have been passed down for centuries.

So, what happens if these acupuncture points are stimulated? When the acupuncture points are stimulated, the tense sympathetic nervous system is inhibited, which can restore the balance of the autonomic nervous system and adjust abnormal visceral functions. Therefore, acupuncture therapy is very effective.
