Female uterine cold is a common phenomenon. When uterine cold occurs, there may be symptoms such as decreased menstrual flow, dark color, and cold hands and feet. So how can uterine cold be relieved? Massaging three acupoints can help alleviate uterine cold. Let's take a look with the editor!
Symptoms of Uterine Cold
1. Weight gain
Uterine cold often leads to a slightly overweight body shape, accompanied by symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, insomnia, scanty menstruation, and anovulation.
The insufficient uterine heat will cause the body to start storing fat in order to maintain its physiological functions. The colder the uterus, the more fat it will accumulate, leading to weight gain.
2. Menstrual abnormalities
Menstruation may be delayed, with light color and scanty flow. There may be a sense of bloating in the lower abdomen before menstruation, along with increased vaginal discharge, lower back pain, breast tenderness, and occasional nausea and vomiting. Some may experience abdominal pain during menstruation, with a cold sensation in the lower abdomen, dark menstrual blood with clots, and dysmenorrhea.
3. Weak constitution
There may be poor mental state, lower back and leg weakness, increased urination, scanty menstruation, decreased libido, pale tongue with white coating, and weak pulse.
Those with insufficient true yang may experience back pain, dull complexion, feeling of coldness in the lower abdomen, cold and weak limbs, tastelessness in the mouth, preference for spicy food, frequent urination or incontinence, pale tongue with white and greasy coating, and weak pulse.
Can Uterine Cold Affect Fertility?
Uterine cold can lead to infertility, but it does not mean that uterine cold always causes infertility.
Many women with uterine cold experience delayed menstruation, ranging from a few days to a few months. Most of these women do not ovulate, which can lead to infertility.
From another perspective, a low uterine temperature is not suitable for fetal growth and can easily lead to miscarriage even if pregnancy occurs. Therefore, it is necessary for women to adjust the uterine environment before planning to conceive.
