Effective Facial Massage Techniques for Acne Prevention and Skin Rejuvenation

Although it is not recommended to directly touch the facial skin with hands when acne appears, washing hands and using the correct technique for massage can not only prevent acne but also shrink pores and make the skin firmer and more elastic.


1. After cleansing, relax the facial muscles. Warm up the hands before massage.

2. Spread out the four fingers of both hands and massage from the forehead to the sides as shown in the picture.

3. Close the middle finger and index finger of both hands, massage from the front of the eyebrows down to the sides of the cheeks, and press at the corners of the eyes. Adjust your breathing and repeat several times.

4. Spread out the hands and massage from the back of the ears to the front. The intensity should be slightly painful. Repeat 3 to 4 times.

5. Place the spread-out four fingers on the sides of the cheekbones and massage in circular motions. Repeat this motion about 10 times.

6. Finally, place the thumb on the chin and press upward with the middle finger and index finger from the lower lip.

Massage should be done consistently, either daily or every other day. You can also use a scraping board for facial massage. Facial massage is the foundation, and it works better when combined with acupressure on the body's acupoints.
