Traditional Chinese medicine often uses acupoints for treatment. "Acupoints" are very important for the human body. We know that massaging the temples can clear heat, reduce swelling, and relieve pain. But do you know the specific functions of the acupoint "Gongsun" and its specific location and application? If you don't know, let's take a look together!
Acupoint Gongsun
Gongsun Acupoint
1. Gongsun. Gongsun refers to the relationship between the material inside the acupoint and the relationship between the spleen and the earth element. The material of the spleen meridian belongs to the earth element. Its father is fire, its grandparent is wood, its child is metal, and its grandchild is water. The name "Gongsun" signifies that the material in this acupoint is the combination of the qi and blood of the spleen meridian and the Ren meridian, which transforms into the water, dampness, and wind qi of the celestial part. The material of this acupoint comes from two aspects: the qi of the celestial part transmitted from the Taibai acupoint, and the high-temperature water from the Ren meridian transmitted from the earth part. The high-temperature water of the Ren meridian rapidly vaporizes after flowing out of the body through the acupoint due to its high temperature and pressure.
2. Acupoint of the Foot Taiyin Meridian. "Meridian" means connection. The material of this acupoint is the water, dampness, and wind qi of the celestial part. Its function is to horizontally disperse and connect the qi and blood of the spleen and stomach meridians, which is why it is called the acupoint of the Foot Taiyin Meridian.
3. Meeting point of the Ren meridian and the Foot Taiyin meridian. The explanation is the same as the meaning of the name of the Gongsun acupoint.
