Hegu
[Location] Located between the first and second metacarpal bones on the back of the hand, approximately at the midpoint of the second metacarpal bone; when locating the acupoint, place the transverse crease of the thumb joint on the interdigital web between the index finger of the other hand, and the point is located under the tip of the thumb.
[Function] Dispels wind and clears heat, promotes meridian circulation, moisturizes the face and enhances complexion. It is effective for disorders of the head, face, and five senses, acne, urticaria, and wind rash.
[Method] Directly puncture 0.5-1 inch, can be moxibustioned.
Quchi
[Location] Located at the midpoint of the line connecting the outer end of the elbow transverse crease and the lateral epicondyle of the humerus; when locating the acupoint, flex the elbow to a right angle and locate the point in the depression on the radial side of the elbow transverse crease.
[Function] Expels wind and releases the surface, harmonizes Ying and Wei, eliminates rashes and relieves itching. It can be used for urticaria, seborrheic dermatitis, urticaria, and acne.
[Method] Directly puncture 0.8-1.5 inches, can be moxibustioned. For the treatment of urticaria, it is more effective to combine with Zusanli, Geshu, and Xuehai.
Zusanli
[Location] Located 3 inches below the Du Bi point, 1 horizontal finger from the anterior crest of the tibia; when locating the acupoint, sit or lie down with the knee flexed, and locate the point 3 inches directly below the Du Bi point, approximately 1 horizontal finger from the anterior crest of the tibia, on the anterior tibialis muscle.
[Function] Strengthens the spleen and stomach, regulates and nourishes qi and blood, and promotes overall health and beauty. It has good effects on weakness, emaciation, facial wrinkles, sallow complexion, and acne.
[Method] Directly puncture 0.5-2 inches, can be moxibustioned. If combined with Quchi, it can treat urticaria.
Xuehai
[Location] Located 6-7 millimeters above the upper edge of the patella; when locating the acupoint, the patient flexes the knee, and the practitioner places the palm of the left hand on the upper edge of the patient's right knee patella, extending upward, and the thumb is slanted at approximately 45 degrees, and the acupoint is located under the tip of the thumb.
[Function] Harmonizes qi and blood, dispels wind and dampness. It is suitable for eczema, urticaria, butterfly rash, alopecia areata, and facial hyperpigmentation.
[Method] Can be directly punctured 0.8-1.5 inches, can be moxibustioned.
Sanyinjiao
[Location] Located 3 inches above the highest point of the medial malleolus, on the posterior border of the tibia; when locating the acupoint, sit or lie down, go straight down 3 inches from the tip of the medial malleolus, and locate the point on the posterior border of the tibia.
[Function] Strengthens the spleen, resolves dampness, soothes the liver, and nourishes the kidneys. It is effective for infertility, acne, hair loss, seborrheic dermatitis, and melasma.
[Method] Directly puncture 1-1.5 inches. Can be moxibustioned.
