Improving Mental Health in Successful Men: A Holistic Approach

A study conducted abroad has confirmed that the main causes of health problems in successful men are stress, pressure, and feelings of loneliness. The time when men are most likely to die from a heart attack or suicide is around 9 am on Monday morning, which is right after experiencing the loneliness of the weekend and facing the stress, repression, and loneliness of another week. So, how should successful men improve their mental health and quickly overcome mental exhaustion?

Firstly, successful men need to have a comprehensive understanding of themselves and design their life goals based on their specific conditions such as personality traits, abilities, physical strength, and environment. The best strategy for mental health is to not be picky about oneself and not set too high expectations.

Secondly, the feeling of exhaustion comes from constantly striving to achieve a certain ideal, comparing oneself with others, and constantly inflating one's desires by using other people's achievements as goals to pursue. This leads to a greedy mentality and a feeling of hunger for status, a craving for money, a persistence in fake self-esteem, and an endless desire for pleasure, ultimately causing complete unhappiness and a constant feeling of exhaustion. The "cure" for this is to develop one's own potential with a realistic attitude, not paying too much attention to other people's applause and praise, and while continually expanding one's psychological space, experiencing the meaning and joy of life itself.

Thirdly, engage in more communication and interaction with others. Engaging in heartfelt conversations and establishing friendships not only strengthens relationships but also allows for the enjoyment of communication and is a process of mutual learning. Keeping all the depression buried within oneself will only lead to melancholy. If one shares their inner troubles with close friends or mentors, they will feel a sense of relief. Approaching external changes with an open and broad-minded attitude is beneficial for maintaining a young, happy, and energetic heart.

Fourthly, it is important to have one's own time and space. The work of successful men often blurs the boundaries between 8 hours of work and personal time. Working overtime and bringing work home is a common occurrence. Therefore, it is necessary to handle the balance between work and rest, which is also a requirement for mental health. Participating in recreational activities is a good way to relieve psychological stress.

Fifthly, appreciate oneself. To be mentally healthy and balanced, one must accept oneself, appreciate oneself, and like oneself, accepting both strengths and weaknesses. Some successful men are always critical of themselves and constantly focus on their flaws and shortcomings in pursuit of perfection. Although this can be conducive to progress, it can also make one feel excessively exhausted. Only by appreciating oneself can one have confidence and better develop oneself.

Sixthly, adjust one's mentality and learn to seek help. If there are physical and mental problems, it is important to seek help from hospitals and psychological counseling rooms in a timely manner.
