How to remove the glue from chopsticks How to clean newly purchased chopsticks

I believe that many of you have had the experience of struggling with glue and labels on chopsticks, so here are some ways to remove glue from chopsticks.

Soaking in hot water

Most chopsticks have labels and glue attached to them, so consider soaking them in boiling water until the labels fall off naturally.

Use a hair dryer

You can also use a hairdryer to blow heat on the label area. Generally, the glue on the label will melt under the high temperature, so that the label can be slowly torn off.

Heating with a lighter

When there is glue on the chopsticks, you can also use a lighter to slightly roast the label on the chopsticks and gently tear off the label when the glue is melted by the heat, but the speed of roasting with a lighter is too slow and it is easy to get hot after a few times, so it is not suitable for handling multiple pairs of chopsticks.

Rubbing with alcohol

If there is glue on the chopsticks you can use alcohol or white wine on the adhesive paper and then wipe it off with paper or cloth, as the alcohol and glue will fuse with each other to clean the glue on the chopsticks.

How to clean newly bought chopsticks

1. Wash the chopsticks with water to remove the dirt on the surface of the chopsticks (remove the label if there is one first as described above) 2. wash them again with detergent to remove the oil from the chopsticks. 3. Finally, sterilize them in a disinfection cabinet. If you don't have a disinfection cabinet at home, you can boil them for half an hour to kill most of the germs. 4. If the newly bought chopsticks have a bad smell, you can soak them in vinegar for half an hour or boil them in tea for half an hour to remove the odor.
