Early Symptoms of Breast Cancer

March 20, 2023
Breast cancer is a common disease among women, and it is often found at an advanced stage, thus not receiving better treatment. If we can detect it at an early stage, the treatment possibility is still very high.

Breast lumps]

Most breast lumps are not painful and often exist as a single mass, which feels hard and solid if touched. Women can squeeze their own breasts when they shower to see if a lump arises.

Dimple sign]

In the early stage of breast cancer, a "dimple sign" may be formed, which is like a dimple on top of the breast. This is caused by the pulling of Cooper's ligament or adhesion of the tumor to the skin. Similarly, varicose veins and edema may also appear in the breast at this time.

[Nipple dimple].

When cancerous tissue invades the nipple or under the areola, the fibrous tissue and duct system of the breast can be shortened by the tumor invasion. This leads to nipple, deviating to one side or sunken, and in some cases, the nipple is even completely shrunken under the areola, and the nipple cannot be seen.

[Nipple erosion].

The difference shows that a considerable number of people will have nipple erosion in the early stage of breast cancer.

[Nipple overflow].

Breast duct enlargement can lead to nipple overflow. There are various colors of overflow, the known ones are: milky white, yellowish, brown, bloody, etc. If you have this phenomenon and often contaminate your underwear because of it, it means you are likely to have breast cancer, so you should hurry to the hospital for examination, the sooner the easier to treat.

[Breast pain].

Some people also experience breast pain in the early stages.
