Traditional Chinese Medicine Introduces the Efficacy of Nv Wan

[Habitat Distribution] It grows in moist places and is distributed in the northeast, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, and other areas.

[Chemical Components] The whole plant contains quercetin, and the root contains volatile oil.

[Properties and Tastes] ① "Ben Jing" (Classic of Herbal Medicine): The taste is pungent and warm.

② "Bie Lu" (Alternative Records): Non-toxic.

[Functions and Indications] It warms the lungs, transforms phlegm, aids digestion, and promotes diuresis. It is used to treat cough, asthma, intestinal rumbling, diarrhea, dysentery, and difficult and painful urination.

① "Ben Jing": It is used for treating wind-cold diarrhea, cholera-induced dysentery, unpredictable intestinal rumbling, epilepsy, and various cold and heat conditions.

② "Bie Lu": It is used for treating lung injury causing cough and rebellious qi, excessive sweating, long-standing cold in the bladder, fullness in the chest, and onset of symptoms after drinking alcohol and eating at night.

③ "Hunan Materia Medica": It warms the lungs, relieves qi stagnation, stops cough, and transforms phlegm, and promotes diuresis.

[Usage and Dosage] Oral administration: decoction, 9-15 grams.

[Precautions] "Ben Cao Jing Ji Zhu" (Annotations on the Classic of Herbal Medicine): Avoid using it with salty substances.

[Additional Formula Applications] ① Treatment for cough and asthma: 15 grams of Nv Wan, 9 grams of Jin Xian Diao Bai Mi, and 15 grams of roadside Jingteng. Decoction and oral administration.

② Treatment for intestinal rumbling and diarrhea: 15 grams of Nv Wan, 6 grams of Chen Pi, and 6 grams of Chang Pu. Decoction and oral administration.
