【Methods of using Yunshi Root】

1. For common cold, dizziness, and general body aches: Take three qian (about 9 grams) of Yunshi root, three qian of Wupifeng (if the body is weak, add one qian of Lannuzheng), add two bowls of water and boil until one rice bowl of liquid remains. Take it at once.

2. For cold headaches and body aches: Take one liang (about 30 grams) of Yunshi root, or add a few shallots and cook with alcohol before consuming.

3. For snake bites: Take one liang of Yunshi root, one liang of bamboo leaf pepper leaves, and one liang of Wa'erteng root. Soak them in one jin (about 500 grams) of white wine for three to five days. Take five qian to one or two liang each time. Crush fresh Yunshi root bark, Litucao, and Banbianlian in appropriate amounts, and apply the paste externally.

4. For genital ulcers and rectal abscesses: Take a suitable amount of fresh Yunshi root bark, add a little white wine, crush it into a paste, and apply it externally. Change the dressing twice a day.

5. For chronic bronchitis: Take 30 grams of Yunshi seeds, decoct them in water, and take it twice a day. Alternatively, grind them into coarse powder, decoct in water three times, and concentrate into a thick paste. Add an appropriate amount of excipient to make an oral liquid. Take it continuously for 10 to 20 days.

6. For children who overeat fruits and starchy foods, have abdominal distension, weight loss, good appetite, generalized edema, and bloody diarrhea: Take two parts of burnt pot, one part of horse bean, grind them into powder. Take it regularly until fully recovered.
